Time to show off your camera skills - and more importantly, your adorable pets - for the

Humane Society of Kodiak's Pet Idol Contest & Fundraiser!

We invite all Kodiak residents to share their best shots of their prized animal companions.

Pets of all size and species are welcome! 

 

The winning pet will not only be the featured pet in the 2026 calendar, but will also win a

3-month subscription to Meow Box, Bark Box, or Squawk Box

(if your pet is in a different category, we will find an acceptable substitute).

How it works:

• Submit up to 5 photos per pet to kodiak.petidol@gmail.com

      All photos must be in jpg. or png. format   

                                                                                     

• Submit your $5 per image donation through PayPal (click here!), by mail, or stop by the shelter.                  

       If paying by check please make it out to Humane Society of Kodiak

 

• Humane Society of Kodiak and shelter staff determine the 36 finalists

• Pubic voting begins July 5th via Facebook, Instagram & the Humane Society of Kodiak website.

      Yes, you can vote on all 3 platforms!

• The winning pet will receive a 3-month subscription to Meow Box, Bark Box, or Squawk Box (if your pet is in a different category, we will find an acceptable substitute).​

• The winner will be announced on the Humane Society of Kodiak website and Facebook page in early August

 

• Calendars will be available for purchase in early November

​

• The top 12 finalists will receive one (1) 2026 Pet Idol Calendar
