Farm Cats aka Barn Cats

Writer: Kodiak Animal ShelterKodiak Animal Shelter

TOP 5 REASONS TO OWN A BARN CAT

1. They make great friends

2. They eat bugs

3. They make great exterminators

4. Make the barn a happier place

5. They are low maintenance

Although they are not always the friendliest of cats. Sometimes they can actually be quite spicy. But does that really matter if you're only looking for a "working" cat? However, they are tough, independent, and love to hunt. And hey can live for a long time! Though if you have small children, you might want to consider a friendlier breed.

If you are in the market for a barn cat and we don't any available, reach out to Clear Creek Cat Rescue and they will be more than happy to assist you into bringing one home. Help save the life of a cat that otherwise would be flagged as unadoptable. :)
